Medisoft 11 :: Service Pack 3 SP3 Update 'The NPI Ready Update for Medisoft 11' Microwize Released March 13, 2007 As usual, run a backup before proceeding with this update. ---------------------- ---------------------- It is crucial that this particular service pack be installed & implemented correctly. Unlike any other previous Medisoft Service Packs, Service Pack 3 has a lot of configuration & additional installation tasks that MUST be completed. To ensure a successful implementation of SP3, we've created an instructional video to walk you through step-by-step of the SP3 implementation. To take advantage of this instructional video, we highly recommend using Download Option A below. ** Make sure to run the instructional video on a computer with speakers as it has audio commentary on each step. DOWNLOAD OPTIONS: Option A: (Highly Recommended! Use this method for a successful implementation of SP3!) Please select one of the following:
CMS Invalid Character Utility: (Only download this here if you chose Option B above. The tutorial video in Option A has a link to download this utility at the appropriate step in the implementation process) After the completion of your Medisoft 11 SP3 installation, you'll want to run this utility to avoid 'Access Violation' errors while running various reports. Detailed instructions on how to run this utility are attached to this post as an Adobe PDF file. WHAT'S NEW IN MEDISOFT 11 SP3? Below is a list of the items addressed in Medisoft 11 Service Pack 3. This list can also be found in the attached Adobe PDF file at the bottom of this post: The following issues were fixed in Medisoft Version 11 Service Pack 3: 1. Electronic Statement Summary Reports would not print. 2. Error: “Field The_Count not found” when converting data to Version 11. 3. Ambulance fields would not save in Medisoft Advanced. Custom case data will now save in advanced, but you do not have the ability to design custom case data. The design is still Network Professional only. 4. CMSFILE and CMS11 print image formats were added. 5. Group NPI Number was added to the Provider Class screen. 6. Work Administrator security flaw. (Displayed user names and passwords in certain circumstances.) 7. NPI Number Validation was added. 8. Quick Statements would not print unless the statement number range was manually removed. 9. Previously released version of File Maintenance was included in SP3. 10. Claim forms pulled Case Facility instead of Transaction Facility. Now pull Transaction Facility. 11. Cancelled Appointments were printing on default Superbill format. 12. Procedure/Staff List contained 2 date stamps. 13. Quick Ledger would not open properly from within Transaction Entry. 14. Appointment list report in office hours displaying incorrect provider. 15. Invalid Credit Card Authorization message within Transaction Entry. 16. Provider Class and User Entry added to Medisoft Basic. If you encounter issues installing this Service Pack & have a support contract with Microwize, please call our support department. Has anyone else had problems with the help menu being broken?

The help menu in Medisoft Network Professional is no longer working. Help by pressing F1 doesn't work along with choosing help from the main menu. Additional items in the help menu that don't work: "Getting Started," "Upgraders from Doc," "Register Program."

I've tried resettting the menu, and it seems to only be on the server, local installations don't seem to have the issue.

Yeah, we don't really use the help much, but inevitably the one time it's not working the doctor tries to use it. =) Thanks for the assistance.

My version of Medisoft 11 Service Pack # did not completely download. How do I get it to complete its download?

Not sure what you mean by 'didn't completely download'.
If the download was incomplete, you can certainly try redownloading. If you meant that your Medisoft 11 still doesn't show SP3 when it is launched, try reinstalling it & select Custom, not Express for the installation type. Make sure it is being installed to the current Medisoft Install directory.
